Reading: Boyes Turner advises web acquisition
Boyes Turner has advised Dontstayin on the sale of its dance music and clubbing social networking website to Development Hell for an undisclosed sum. The deal closed on April 9.
Dontstayin built a loyal following amongst the dance music and clubbing community since its launch in 2003 and claims an average of one million unique users each month, the majority of which are based in the UK, US, Ireland, France, Spain and Australia with chatrooms, event listings, video and a popular photo uploads section that host more than six million images. Development Hell is the publishing firm behind the music titles Mixmag and The Word.
Boyes Turner's Lisa Griffin led the transaction assisted by Jon Alder. Commenting on the transaction, Griffin said: "The Dontstayin dance music and clubbing website was a natural acquisition for Development Hell's existing business and we were delighted to have been part of the deal team, all of whom worked hard together to bring the transaction to a swift and successful conclusion."
