Riverbank  IT Management, the Oxfordshire-based IT services company, has merged with Advanced PC Solutions.Riverbank managing director Malcolm Newdick said: “This is a fantastic win-win for Riverbank and for Advanced PC Solutions. Together we will be a major force in the IT services industry in the region. Kieron Drake, director of Advanced PC Solutions, is joining the Riverbank board and this will give us additional strength to accelerate the growth of the combined business. It’s a really exciting opportunity for us.”

The combined business has a technical team of 17 people, and over 25 people in total. With this depth and breadth of IT knowledge the company now has a springboard to expand in the UK and internationally. In addition to providing local IT support, Riverbank already manages sites from Exeter to Glasgow. Internationally it provides IT management for client offices in Brazil, China, Thailand and the USA.

Newdick commented: “It’s the move to the Cloud that makes it easy to provide global IT services. We are doing things for our clients in 2012 that simply weren’t possible last year. One example of this is that we can set up and manage servers in the USA without leaving our Oxfordshire office. It’s extremely cost-effective for our clients.”

Riverbank IT, formed in 1997, is based at Little Haseley, near Oxford. Advanced PC Solutions is based at Milton Park, Abingdon.
