Soho House Group plans to open a second country hotel, in Oxfordshire, to join the celebrated Babington House in Somerset.

Farnhouse is set to launch in summer 2015 at Tracey Farm, located between the villages of Great Tew, south of Banbury, and Enstone.

Planning permission has been granted to Soho House and Great Tew Estates, home of the annual Cornbury Festival, to develop a hotel and leisure complex which will include the conversion of original farm buildings, alongside the building of new properties.

A spokesperson for Soho House said the development will offer “relaxed accommodation in a countryside setting”. Residents have described the conversion of Tracey Farm as "imaginative and sensitive".

Located on a 93-acre estate, it will feature a seven-bedroom farmhouse, a four-bedroom cottage, 30 cabins (ranging in size from one to three bedrooms), a boathouse, swimming pool, lakes, tennis courses, a gym, and a five-a-side football pitch.

Soho House was launched in 1995 by Nick Jones and has since grown into a group of private members’ clubs, hotels and restaurants in city centres worldwide, including Berlin and New York. Babington House, which opened in 1998 near Frome, is currently the group’s only rural property.
