The CI Group, based in Oxfordshire and Soho, London, has gained first class recognition as one of the Best Places to Work.

The Group is a fast-growing family of specialist marketing communications agencies whose capabilities have expanded to include data analytics, digital marketing, advertising, promotions and content as well as corporate events.

In the C&IT Best Places to Work Awards 2019, the CI Group has been ranked eighth overall and second, winning the Silver Award, in the mid-size agencies category close behind the Gold winner.

C&IT magazine partnered with an independent HR consultant to assess, rate and benchmark the best working environments in the industry, recognising outstanding workplaces and initiatives.

David Watt, CEO of the CI Group said: “This is an outstanding achievement by the whole team and a tremendous testimony to the business. It’s particularly pleasing as this is first year that we have put our business under such close scrutiny and we have been integrating two acquisitions into the organisation at the time. We’ve learned valuable lessons that we’ll be implementing so that we can compete for the top positions next year.”

David Watt added: “This important accolade is a valuable independent endorsement as we continue to grow. We are on track to achieve our targets of £20 million a year turnover and £5m gross margin by the end of 2020 through acquisition, organic growth and key account planning. Our transformation and expansion of Corporate Innovations, an events and experiential agency into the CI Group, a soon to be 100-strong full-service integrated communications business of five agencies, is not yet complete but well advanced.”
