Oxford: ClimateCare wins 2nd Queen's Award for Enterprise

Climate and Sustainable Development expert ClimateCare has won a second Queen’s Award for Enterprise – for ‘exceptional contributions to sustainable development.’ It is one of just six organisations across the UK to win an award in this category.

ClimateCare has reduced carbon emissions by 33 million tonnes and improved 34 million lives, delivering $10.6 billion of value for people and the planet. This is an additional 16 million tonnes of CO2 cut and an additional 22 million lives improved since the organisation won its first Queen’s Award in 2014.

ClimateCare’s trademark Climate+Care approach to cutting carbon and improving lives is attracting an increasing number of long term private and public sector clients, who want to find practical ways to deliver real results for people and the environment. ClimateCare has announced stretching new targets to scale action even faster – aiming to cut 50 million tonnes of CO2 and improve 50 million lives by 2025.

To achieve this goal the organisation is expanding fast, welcoming new partners from across the energy and travel sectors in particular.

To support this expansion, ClimateCare has appointed a new CEO, Vaughan Lindsay, with a history of leading profit with purpose companies to work alongside director Edward Hanrahan who continues to oversee the business and work closely with government and policy makers as frameworks surrounding carbon markets develop.
