One Four Nine Group expands footprint into south west with acquisition of Plymouth's Rainbird & Co

One Four Nine Group, the financial advice and investment group, has expanded its nationwide footprint in the south west with the acquisition of Plymouth-based advice business Rainbird & Co.

Launched by Chris Rainbird more than 25 years ago, Rainbird & Co is a family business, which advises more than 350 clients on their investment, pension and protection needs.

It means that the One Four Nine group now has 33 advisers serving 4,300 clients and manages £1.4 billion of client assets.

Gabrielle Beaumont, the CEO of One Four Nine, said: "We have been looking to establish a Southwest location for some time and Rainbird & Co’s team were a natural fit sharing our values, culture and long-term goals.

The acquisition is the eighth purchase by One Four Nine since it launched in 2021.
