Newbury: BCMS advises Campbell Collins sale to US-based TTI

Newbury-based international M&A specialist BCMS Corporate has completed the transatlantic sale of niche power supply product distributor Campbell Collins to US-based TTI.

Based in Stevenage, Campbell Collins has been supplying electronic components to the electronics industry for more than 30 years from manufacturers such as Gaia Converter and Ericsson Power Modules, as well as the full line of KEMET companies including BHC, Arcotronics and Evox Rifa.

The founder, Ian Campbell, recently announced his intention to retire from the business and approached BCMS Corporate for help in identifying a strategic buyer with the resources to help drive future growth. Interest in the company, which employs eight people, was considerable with half a dozen companies expressing serious interest in Campbell Collins.

The new owners of Campbell Collins are TTI, one of the largest authorised distributors of passive, interconnect and electromechanical components in the world. Based in Texas, TTI employs 2,800 people across Asia, Europe and North America. Campbell Collins will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of TTI.
