New diner concept, Mollie's Diner opens at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol

Mollie's Diner has opened its second location at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol.

This follows the opening of its first such diner concept at Buckland, on the main road between Swindon and Oxford, in January 2019.

The Bristol Mollie's opened followed a £15 million investment in the property, which has created 60 new jobs for the regional economy.

Mollie’s Motel & Diner, which was initially launched under the Soho House brand umbrella, but was spun-off as an independent entity last year, was designed by the Soho House & Co team and is inspired by the classic American diner.

Located on Cribbs Causeway, Mollie’s offers what it describes as a ‘budget-luxe’ offering. From just £50.00 for a double room per night, guests are offered comfortable interiors, a fun atmosphere, destination dining, luxury touches and innovative tech.

Mollie’s is led by CEO Darren Sweetland (former EMEA Finance Director of Soho House and Commercial Finance at Tesco PLC). His combination of commercial and financial experience at Tesco PLC and the exclusive, global private members’ club, Soho House, with its focus on innovation, creativity and community, gives him the perfect expertise to drive Mollie’s mission forward and make it a true disruptor between traditional value and luxe hotel categories.  Mollie’s first site opened in Oxfordshire in 2019 with a Motel, Diner & Drive-Thru in Buckland Oxfordshire.

Darren said: “Mollie’s is a stylish, fun, brand new concept in hotels that is discerning, design-led and surprisingly affordable and we have high hopes that it will quickly become Britain’s favourite stopover.

“Cribbs Causeway, with its incredible links to Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and the South West, was the perfect choice for our second site. We have invested £15 million in the property and are proud that we have created 60 new jobs for the local economy, hiring individuals from the surrounding area as part of our commitment to provide opportunity to people within the local community."

Guests can check in online or via the app and have their room key delivered to their phone. Electric Vehicle charging bays can be pre-booked, free-of-charge, before arrival and there’s 24-hour online chat support with the friendly reception team, in multiple languages.

In-room, 50-inch Smart TVs come as standard. Guests’ phones automatically pair with the TV as a remote, casting their personal Netflix or Spotify account directly to the screen and syncing with the super-fast complimentary Wi-Fi, for the ultimate and seamless relaxing at-home experience.
