MSP Capital name 'Superfan' George as winner of Cherries' letter-writing competition
AFC Bournemouth and club partner MSP Capital have revealed the winner of their letter writing competition.
Judges for the football club and property finance lender were impressed by the writing skills of George Murphy, aged six, who claimed the top prize.
George won a signed training top presented by Dominic Solanke and a tour of the Vitality Stadium.
The competition was open to members of the official young supporters’ group, the Junior Cherries. The young supporters were asked to write about the 2022/23 campaign, their favourite players and what league matches they will be most excited to attend.

George captured the attention of the judges with his advice: "Go Cherries, you’ve got this!"
Having expressed his desire to play for the club when he grows up, George also wrote: "I can hear the crowd at night from my bed when we score."
Adding: "AFC Bournemouth are the best team in the world. Go Cherries, you’ve got this!"
Martin Higgins, MSP Capital Managing Director, said: “Congratulations to George on his winning letter!
“This was a lovely community competition to start the new season and we look forward to supporting more exciting initiatives as the campaign unfolds.”
Rob Mitchell, AFC Bournemouth’s Commercial Director, said: “Well done to George! His letter reflects what thousands of other supporters feel about AFC Bournemouth.
“Junior Cherries are a fundamental part of the club and we really enjoyed receiving everybody’s letters.”
Poole-based MSP Capital is a long-standing partner of AFC Bournemouth, their logo appears on the team's training kit and the women's team sleeves'.
