MP Robert Buckland visits Swindon's FigFlex Offices
South Swindon MP Robert Buckland paid a visit to Swindon's FigFlex Offices last week, and hailed workspaces like it as a key part of the regeneration of the town.
The former Lord Chancellor met with tenants taking advantage of the convenient and more flexible approach to office-based working in the town.
He made the visiting after taking a tour around the neighbouring Zurich HQ, which is still under construction at Kimmerfields.
They include railway infrastructure services provider, Colas Rail, which now occupies 1,132 sq ft of office space, Hampshire-headquartered recruitment company, Active Staff, which occupies 119 sq ft, technology recruitment agency, Good Talent, which has taken 65 sq ft.
Responding to local market demand for short-term occupancies, as well as the evolving work habits post-pandemic, FigFlex Swindon offers a suite of five air-conditioned, sound-proofed meeting rooms and a range of serviced offices, which can be tailored to accommodate 1 to 100 workstations.
The serviced office provider’s location within the newly-refurbished 3 Newbridge Square means its members also have access to a wide range of office layouts that can accommodate their growing operational requirements.
Refurbishment works completed in August have provided the eight-storey building with a modern and welcoming reception area and enhanced communal spaces such as stylish meeting rooms, breakout areas and a business hub.
FigFlex Offices underwent a rebrand earlier this year with a reimagined product, which centres on flexibility, convenience and additional business support for its members in response to the post-pandemic market demand. FigFlex Offices focuses on four core services: serviced offices, co-working, meeting rooms and virtual offices.
“I was delighted to visit FigFlex offices and I was very impressed by all the young entrepreneurs who I met along the way," said Robert.
"They were all fizzing with ideas, and it is initiatives like FigFlex that are helping allow this creativity to flourish. It is places like this that are also going to be at the heart of Swindon’s regeneration.”
A spokesperson for FigFlex Offices added: “We were thrilled to welcome our local MP, Robert Buckland, to FigFlex Offices Swindon in a visit that acknowledges the growing popularity of our flexible office provision.
“We’ve seen the needs of small businesses change dramatically over the past 18 months, accelerated by the pandemic, and there is now huge demand for greater convenience, flexibility and coworking space.
"It gave us great pleasure to introduce Robert to our new tenants and reaffirm our commitment to provide them with the space and support they need to grow.”
