Millbrook and Meachers sign UK exclusivity contract
Logistics firm Meachers and Millbrook Beds, have signed a three-year contract which will see Meachers exclusively responsible for the management and operation of Millbrook’s UK transport needs.
The new agreement will see Meachers stepping up their existing responsibility for the UK distribution of Millbrook’s mattresses and beds.
Both firms are based in Southampton.
Gary Whittle, Commercial Director at Meachers, said: “We have a longstanding relationship with Millbrook Beds which spans more than ten years. I’m delighted to strengthen our relationship further with this new long-term agreement that will see Meachers become its total and sole UK logistics partner.
“The scale and geographic location of our fleet, combined with our knowledge and reputation for providing a high level of service, is something we are incredibly proud of as a business. Equal to that are our customers and the trust they place in us to keep their operations moving.”

The agreement will also see Meachers integrating all of Millbrook’s current drivers and a number of their trucks into its business due to a Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) clause included in the deal.
