Aerospace companies from across the Midlands are out in force showing their latest technologies, innovations, products and services at Paris Air Show this year. It is the largest aerospace industry trade show in the world and takes place from 17th to 21st June 2019.

The aerospace cluster in the Midlands is one of the biggest internationally and this year is particularly exciting because Concorde’s 50th anniversary will be celebrated at the event. The Midlands Aerospace Alliance is hosting a special exhibit on its stand showing how companies based in the Midlands were involved in making the aircraft fly. Many of them now make components and deliver services for new and next generation aircraft for companies such as Airbus, Boeing and Rolls-Royce.

Andrew Mair, Chief Executive of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance, said: “In the face of Brexit, there has never been a better time for Midlands aerospace companies to demonstrate their capabilities and make international deals of their own.”

Despite the current political uncertainty and the challenges this brings, aerospace companies are making the most of the opportunities at Paris Air Show to reach out directly to decision makers and show just how much they have to offer and why they remain such a great choice for customers in Europe and worldwide.

The cluster of aerospace companies in the Midlands is one of the biggest in the world and the Midlands Aerospace Alliance is a not-for-profit organisation that has been supporting and representing them since 2003.

14 companies are exhibiting on the Midlands Aerospace Alliance stand this year including Bibus Metals, Carter Manufacturing, Columbia Precision, CW Fletcher & Sons, Dynamic Metals Ltd, G&O Springs, Institute for Aerospace Technology, Maycast-Nokes Precision Engineering, MJ Sections, Orscheln Europe, Sigma Precision Components, Spincraft/Enginetics - Standex Engineering Technologies Group, Surface Finishing Engineering and Wallwork Group. The stand sponsors are G&P Quality Management and Romax Technology.
