Kura, an expert in business and educational transportation, has announced the hiring of Caroline Pitt as financial director. The move comes as the firm continues to bolster its management team in preparation for expanding its operations.

Kura wants to make all school and business travel safer, greener, and more intelligent. They help organisations to maximise the safety, welfare and productivity of students, customers and staff, while reducing transportation costs and CO2 emissions. Kura does this by combining cutting-edge proprietary technology with the top vehicle operators countrywide.

Qualified as a chartered accountant, Caroline previously worked at Virgin Media, O2, Amazon and HSBC and was chosen for the role due to her strong financial and technological background. With experience of growing both start-ups and large companies, Caroline comes to the role equipped with knowledge of scaling a business and how processes and systems can be implemented to achieve scale.

Godfrey Ryan is the CEO of Kura. He said this about Caroline's hiring: “We’ve appointed Caroline at a really exciting time for the business as we accelerate our growth ambitions. Caroline’s previous experience is particularly impressive, and she has the relevant skills and knowledge to ensure the smooth running of our financial operations and assist the wider team with implementing our strategy for scaling up.”

Speaking about her appointment, Caroline said: “I’m really looking forward to my new role at Kura, a business with a really strong vision for the future of how schools and businesses can use smart transport to aid safeguarding, improve wellbeing and promote sustainability."

"Prior to joining Kura, I experienced the services that they offer and was extremely impressed with what the company delivers on a daily basis to its customers. I’m passionate about assisting with the scaling up of the business and excited by the prospect of a new challenge in a rapidly changing industry.”
