The finalists of The British Accountancy Awards 2015 have been announced and leading independent chartered accountants and business advisers Whitley Stimpson has been shortlisted in the Community Award category for the second consecutive year.

Whitley Stimpson is one of only eight firms in the country shortlisted in this category and the winners will be announced on November 24 at the Awards Ceremony in London.

The awards seek to recognise the top accounting firms across the UK, with the Community Award being for the firm using accountancy professionalism and advice to bring greatest benefit to a deserving group or the wider community.

Whitley Stimpson’s submission for this award was driven by its ongoing community focus and by the continued success of its specialist education team, which has developed a highly-regarded reputation within the education sector in providing accounting, financial and governance support and advice to the Academy Schools sector, as well as launching an innovative school improvement and support services through its Inspire2Educate initiative.

Whitley Stimpson has established itself as the leading independent accountancy practice in the M40 corridor, with offices in Banbury, Bicester and High Wycombe, as well as recently being ranked in the top 100 accountancy firms in the UK by the prestigious Accountancy Age 50+50 survey.
