Q2 Key new appointments and promotions in the South East of England

Victoria Collett - Thomas White Oxford
Wholly owned by Oxford University's St. John's College, building development company Thomas White Oxford have appointed chartered surveyor Victoria Collett as Development Director. Her main focus will be to bring forward building of the £700m global innovation district, Oxford North. Victoria joins with 18 years of development and regeneration experience.

Ilze Williamson - Scott Brownrigg
Architecture firm Scott Brownrigg have promoted their financial director Ilze Williamson to the firm's strategic board in the role of Chief Financial Officer. She'll have overall control and responsibility for the financial aspects of strategy and implementation.

James Sackley - Boyer
James Sackley has joined planning consultancy Boyer’s Wokingham planning team as a Senior Planner. He'll work with the team in promoting land for housing development and securing planning permissions across the Thames Valley.

Ed Rehill – Lichfields
Reading-based planning and development consultants Lichfeilds have appointed a new associate director, Ed Rehill. With 20 years of experience in both the public and private sector, Rehill will be responsible for strategic planning, housing and commercial development alongside progressing business development initiatives, supporting the firm in their aim to pass £25M in fee revenues by the end of 2022.

Shyamala Duraisingam - Scott Brownrigg
Scott Brownrigg have appointed Shyamala Duraisingam, a Senior Project Manager and architecture lecturer at London University, as Director to their brand new Design Management Unit.

ENERGY

David Taylor - Energy Assets Group
Energy Assets Group have appointed David Taylor as their new Chief Executive Officer. The company are one of Britain’s leading energy metering, data services and utilities construction companies. With more than 25 years' experience in construction and utilities, David joins Energy Assets from Calisen Group, where he was Calisen's COO and Lowri Beck Services' CEO.

PUBLIC SECTOR

Dr. Jane Padmore - Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
Having successfully been interim CEO since January 2022, Dr. Jane Padmore has been formally appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Kelly Heaton-Ralph & Symon Russell – Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS)
Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) has announced two new appointments to newly created Senior Leadership roles aiming to strengthen income streams at the charity. Kelly Heaton-Ralph, who joined the charity in 2019 as Director of Development, has been promoted to Executive Director of Fundraising and Philanthropy while Symon Russell, who also joined the charity in 2019, has been promoted to Executive Director of Individual Giving. The charity hopes these appointments will help it to raise £15.2M annually necessary to the operation of its service.

Alan Hartwell - IRIS Software
The leading global software provider of accountancy, payroll, human resources and education business solutions, IRIS Software, has announced the appointment of former Capita COO Alan Hartwell as their new Group Chief Technology Officer.

ACCOUNTANCY

Ricky Wilson - Evelyn Partners
New Financial Planner Ricky Wilson joins Evelyn from Wesleyan, where he was a Specialist Financial Advisor. He has 17 years' worth of experience, primarily in the medical sector. He'll work out of the firm's Bracknell office.

Martin Rossiter - PKF Francis Clark
Chartered accountancy firm PKF Francis Clark has appointed Martin Rossiter as a partner. Martin joins after more than 20 years with RSM and is 'looking forward to helping farmers and agribusinesses in Wiltshire and beyond to navigate the current period of significant change for UK agriculture.'

FINANCE

Mark Swindell - Reward Finance Group
SME lenders Reward Finance Group have appointed Mark Swindell as their brand new Business Development Manager.

Louis Taylor - The British Business Bank
The BBB have appointed Louis Taylor as their new Chief Executive Officer. Taylor is currently the CEO of UK Export Finance, the UK government's export credit agency. He'll start in his new position on the 1st October.

Louise Williams - Time Finance
Funding solutions company Time Finance has appointed a new Business Development Manager. Louise Williams has been brought in to bolster the firm's invoice finance team.

Duncan Wade - BGF
The UK's most active growth capital investor BGF has added to its Reading management team with the appointment of former Ernst & Young Chief Development Officer Duncan Wade as Investor.

Charlie Winward - YFM
Growth investor Charlie Winward has joined YFM Equity Partners as their new Head of Portfolio (South) as the firm looks to expand rapidly in the next few years.

Vinod Keshav - RSM UK
The leading tax, auditing and consulting firm RSM UK has appointed former PwC man Vinod Keshav as a partner within the firm's corporate tax team in Guildford.

Mike Townsend & Jo Kelly – MSP Capital
Property finance specialist MSP Capital has made two new appointments to its underwriting team. As Business Development manager, Mike Townsend aims to deliver new funding opportunities while credit analyst, Jo Kelly, will provide asset lending and financial analysis. The pair are both veteran industry insiders, with a combined 60 years of experience between them.

Flaviour Nkole, Laurence Henry, Oksana Zyryanova, Jaspal Badesha & Stuart Halliday – Grant Thornton
Business and financial adviser Grant Thornton UK has announced five new appointments to their Thames Valley Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team. These additions more than double the size of the TAS which performs due diligence tasks and gives transactional advice during the acquisition, disposal, refinance or IPO of a business. Nkole, Henry, Zyryanova and Badesha join the team as assistant managers, while Halliday has been appointed associate director.

Marko Ilincic - B P Collins
Thames Valley solicitors B P Collins, regarded by the Times as one of the top 200 law firms in the country, has announced the appointment of ex-LEGO Group executive Marko Ilincic to its board in the role of Non-Executive Chairman.

Marianne Barker - Clarke Willmott
Nationwide solicitors firm Clarke Willmott LLP has expanded its planning and environment team by appointing Marianne Barker as a new partner. Marianne joins Clarke Willmott with more than two decade’s worth of experience of contentious and non-contentious planning law behind her.

Jenny Williamson - Blake Morgan
New partner Jenny Williamson has re-joined leading law firm Blake Morgan and will work within the their family practice.

Multiple - Irwin Mitchell
Irwin Mitchell has just announced a new partner (Tom Barnard), two new senior associates and three new associates within its Gatwick office as part of this year’s promotion round. Sejal Patel (senior associate) and Lucy Barber (associate). Lucy Samy (senior associate) from the tax, trusts and estates team; Court of Protection lawyer, Erin Smart (associate), and commercial litigation specialist Sabrina Goran (associate) have also been promoted.

Amanda Evans - Jargon PR
A new Executive Director of Media Strategy has been appointed at the technology and media-focused public relations firm Jargon. Former national newspaper journalist Amanda Evans joins having previously headed up the PR division of a Hampshire tech company.

MOTORING

Dene Arnold - Merityre Specialists Ltd
Dene Arnold started working for the company back in 1981 as a tyre fitter at their Chertsey branch. Since then he's gone from the workshop to management level, becoming an Assistant Manager, Branch Manager, then General Manager. He was made a Director of Merityre Specialists Ltd in 2003. He's now MD.

Kirsty Knight - Xtrac
Thatcham-based automotive transmission systems specialist Xtrac have hired Kirsty Knight as their new HR Head. She joins from Nationwide Building Society.

CHARITY

Helen Francis - Smart Works
Reading-based women's charity Smart Works has appointed Helen Francis as its new Chair. Helen's volunteered at Smart Works for fours years, joining with 25 years’ experience leading Global Professional Services teams.

PROPERTY

Multiple - Vail Williams
The ever-expanding property consultancy Vail Williams has made 15 senior promotions as business demand continues to drive the organisation's strategic growth.

PHARMACEUTICAL

Anne Whitaker - Ergomed
Guildford's Ergomed PLC have announced that the vastly-experienced Anne Whitaker will join its board in the role of independent non-executive director.

UTILITIES

Lawrence Gosden - Southern Water
Southern Water have announced their new CEO - Lawrence Gosden. He re-joined in 2020 after joining the firm as a graduate some decades ago. Two years later he's been offered the top job.
