A Buckinghamshire accountancy firm which has served the region’s business community for more than 50 years is changing its name after joining the Baldwins Group last year.

The Fish Partnership, which employs 33 staff at The Mill House on Boundary Road in High Wycombe, will rebrand to Wilkins Kennedy, Top 20 Accountancy firm, who have 22 offices across south east England and is part of the Baldwins Group which has over 95 offices across the UK.

The Fish Partnership trades as Wilkins Kennedy from September 2 with its existing workforce led by a senior team made up of Paul Laird, Denise Eyles and Christopher Nisbet.

The High Wycombe-based business was formed in 1969 and now serves around 1,000 SME businesses from sectors such as charity and education, estate agents, solicitors, farming and agriculture, and property and construction.

Paul Laird, director at The Fish Partnership, said: “We have built up an enviable reputation and client portfolio over the past 50 years, and this name change signifies a momentous point in our history to reflect the exciting journey we are embarking on alongside Wilkins Kennedy as part of the Baldwins Group.

“Since joining the Group it has meant that our clients have had access to a wide range of business advice, particularly with the additional expertise of their corporate finance department which will give firms access to the best rates if they are looking to invest, as well as their insolvency expertise to help businesses navigate long-term issues.

“The accounting industry is undergoing various technological and regulatory change, such as Making Tax Digital, and being part of a group that is heavily investing in IT and developing a range of dedicated specialist teams within areas such as tax, corporate finance and restructuring will help us to expand even further as a firm over the course of the next 50 years.

“This is an exciting time for everybody associated with The Fish Partnership, and we look forward to continue working with Wilkins Kennedy’s array of business specialists to help Buckinghamshire’s businesses to develop and grow.”

Baldwins, a CogitalGroup company, now has 97 offices across England, Scotland and Wales – employing more than 3,000 staff with an annual turnover of approximately £225 million.

Tim Croft, managing partner of Wilkins Kennedy’s North Thames region, added: “We are delighted that The Fish Partnership is moving over to Wilkins Kennedy as they have built up a solid reputation and has a growing client base.”
