Guildford: Penningtons Manches appoints family lawyers
Penningtons Manches’ Guildford office has appointed two lawyers, Laura Hughes and Lee Henderson, to boost the growing Surrey family-law practice.
Hughes joins from Crisp & Co where she advised on all aspects of divorce and separation, with a particular focus on high-net-worth clients with complex assets; trust and pension portfolios; high-value pre-nuptial agreements; and complex, contested Children Act matters such as international relocation.
She also advises on alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and is on the committee of Young Surrey Resolution (an association of family lawyers dedicated to family focused solutions). She is a member of Young Surrey Professionals and the Association of Women Solicitors.
Henderson joins the firm from Goodman Ray, a leading niche family firm in Central London where he worked closely with the head of the matrimonial team. A member of Resolution, Lee has experience in all areas of family law, with a particular focus on issues arising out of relationship breakdown including children matters and disputes involving complex financial arrangements following separation.
Veronica Gilmour, head of the family law team in Surrey, commented: “As more and more of our clients have complex financial and children issues – often with an international element – our team’s expertise must reflect their specialist needs.”
