Gripping news as MP Caroline Nokes scales new heights in Southampton

Caroline Nokes, was literally 'shown the ropes' as she visits the new state-of-the-art Parthian indoor climbing centre in Southampton.

The Romsey and Southampton North MP was the special guest at Parthian Climbing’s world class facility at Adanac Park in Nursling which has been inspiring people to try climbing for the first time as well as catering for more experienced climbers.

Jobs boost to the local area

The new 25,000 square foot facility has also meant a jobs boost for the region with 20 full and part time staff including instructors, receptionists, retail, hospitality and management.

Designed to appeal to all levels – no matter what your fitness levels - and ages from beginners to experienced climbers and can host children’s parties and business team building days.

The Southampton centre also boasts a copy of the bouldering wall which featured in the recent Tokyo Olympics – and is the only wall of its kind in Europe.
