Grant Thornton announce new Corporate Tax Director at their Gatwick office
Grant Thornton, the renowned financial consultancy business, has announced Isabel Thomas' appointment to Director of Corporate Tax.
Isabel will be located in Grant Thornton's Gatwick office and play a significant role in the management of the corporate tax team. This team offers businesses the commercial tax assistance necessary to meet a range of difficulties, including global expansion, statutory compliance and managing sizable, multinational operations.
After completing university, Isabel joined Grant Thornton, where she has since accumulated more than two decades' worth of expertise in corporate and international tax.
In her new position, Isabel will pay close attention to businesses with the most complicated requirements so they may successfully accomplish their strategic targets, while minimising tax risk. She will collaborate closely with the several teams and services of Grant Thornton to make sure that businesses get the specialised and all-encompassing help they need.
Alan Richardson is the Head of South Tax at Grant Thornton. He said this about Isabel's promotion: “Celebrating Isabel’s promotion is a fantastic testament to both her skills and dedication as well as the culture of continual development and support at Grant Thornton."
"Having started at the firm as a graduate, it is a real privilege to promote someone from within with as much talent as Isabel has to this position. What’s more, given that we’ve just welcomed several new joiners to our tax team, it showcases what can be achieved and the opportunities that exist for those just starting out in their careers."
“Businesses like the ones Isabel will be dealing with have incredibly complex needs and the pending introduction of new legislation requires a thorough and committed eye. I have no doubt that Isabel will bring her experience and expertise to our Directorial team and ensure that Grant Thornton helps companies to take the next step on their growth journey.”
Isabel is obviously very pleased with the news and said this about it: “This is an exciting time to be taking up a leadership role in Grant Thornton’s Tax team - as not only am I part of a dynamic group of talented individuals, but this is a complex time for businesses and there are a variety of ongoing challenges as well as legislative changes that make corporate tax reporting increasingly complex and of strategic importance to businesses. We can help them navigate those complexities globally."
“The South of England and Wales is full of creative and entrepreneurial companies that are always looking for new ways to grow, innovative and develop. Collaborating with them to unlock their potential requires a holistic approach that understands their circumstances and place in the international landscape. To achieve this, we’ll work closely with them to identify their needs and to make sure they understand the route forward.”
