Government launches 2024 Business Council
The Prime Minister has launched this year’s Business Council and companies from across the region with representatives from across the region.
and will meet with members throughout the year to discuss economic growth.
The council will have a regular meeting with the Prime Minister in Downing Street to share intelligence directly from the shop floor to help boost the UK economy and create jobs. The first meeting will take place next month.
Companies on the 2024 council include Oxford-based biotech OMass Therapeutics and Nationwide Building Society, which has its headquarters in Swindon, Rolls-Royce, which has sites in Bristol and Birmingham.
Ros Deegan, CEO of OMass Therapeutics said: “Given healthcare and scientific innovation is so strong and important to the United Kingdom, I am excited to accept this invitation and look forward to working with the Government and contributing to discussions around our scale up economy.”
Ros is also a member of the board of the UK BioIndustry Association, the UK’s trade body for the biotech and techbio sectors.
