St Modwen Business Park in Gloucester has been spruced up by a charity litter pick by 19 employees from kitchenware brand ProCook and footwear and workwear distributor Gardiner Bro & Co - companies based on the site.

The event was run by charity Life's a Beach, which was established by ProCook founder and CEO Daniel O’Neill, and which supports the eradication of single use plastics from British beaches and promotes reusable products.

This year alone, ProCook has volunteered 440 staff hours and collected 133.8kgs of waste with Life's a Beach. It was Gardiner Bros & Co's first clean up with the charity.

Gardiner Bros & Co's chief people officer Simon Collingridge said: "It is a pleasure to be partnering up with our neighbour ProCook to clean up the environment with Life’s a Beach and make it a more beautiful place for everyone to work and enjoy, we look forward to meeting as many of our neighbours as possible and look forward to future events."

ProCook’s ESG and CSR director Sarah Wheatley added: "It's fantastic to see local businesses working together to create a cleaner community.

"We hope to collaborate with Gardiner Bros & Co again and look forward to welcoming other businesses to future cleans up at our home in St Modwen Park."

The litter pick started at the ProCook Headquarters at unit 10, the team of 19 volunteers collected litter in and around St Modwen’s park, which spans 58 acres across 10 different business units, including Gardiners Bros at units 4 and 8.
