Farnborough Aerospace Consortium has signed its second trans-Atlantic agreement of the Farnborough International Air Show.

The agreement between Dayton in the US and the Rushmoor district, where Farnborough is located, signals the intention of the parties to foster greater connections and understanding.

It will also lead to the Farnborough International Air Show and the Dayton Air Show working more closely together in future.

Gil Turner, CEO of Dayton International Airport, and Gareth Rogers, CEO of Farnborough International, put pen to paper on the second morning of the air show.

Gil Turner said: “This agreement recognises our commitment to aviation and our commonality in promoting it.

“We have shared histories with the Wright Brothers in Ohio and Samuel Cody in Farnborough.”

The agreement follows on from a memorandum of understanding signed by the Farnborough Aerospace Consortium and the Ohio Aerospace Institute on day one of the air show.

Graham Chisnall, chairman of Farnborough Aerospace Consortium, said: “This is the second agreement signed at our stand so far at the air show.

“Global industries require these agreements because they link businesses and lead to new relationships that will help drive investment. Farnborough Airport is a member of ours and we have other exciting agreements in the pipeline.”
