Fareham-based DD Scientific (DDS), an electrochemical gas sensor manufacturer, has benefited from LEAN business improvements after participating in sessions conducted by Fedden USP, a Gosport-based LEAN business specialist. As a result of the LEAN training, DDS has undertaken a major change in the layout of its production processes and introduced a number of new standardised processes.

Roger Davies, production manager at DDS, commented: “We now have a significantly revised and improved production layout.”

Bryan Palmer, LEAN consultant with Fedden USP, added: “The team at DDS was keen to learn about the LEAN techniques, and I believe the training will have given them the confidence to pass on what they have learnt to their colleagues.”
