The Hive Beach group has secured a new facility from Barclays to support its expansion and growth plans by opening a third restaurant.

This will be at West Bexington on Dorset’s Jurassic coastline, and will cater to a more exclusive market than the group's other two award-winning beach eateries.

This is the latest development for the Attrill family who already operate The Hive Beach Café at Burton Bradstock, which they have owned for 25 years, and the Watch House Café at West Bay, Bridport.

The new funding will see The Club House, formerly known as the Blue Anchor Café, fully refurbished and offering a more-upmarket brand of fine food and wine.Attrill said: “Our ambition of bringing fresh, sustainable and locally-sourced food is being realised.”

Chris Pocock, business manager at Barclays who put together the funding package for the deal, said: "It’s great to be able to support a local business that is thriving and expanding for the future.”
