Nicola and Jackie, co-Directors at Danton HR, have been working around the clock to support local businesses as they adapt to the challenges being faced during the coronavirus pandemic.

As businesses up and down the country amend their practices and prepare for new ways of working, Danton HR have helped to lessen the load by providing a range of free resources and templates on their website.

“We are keeping a close eye on the situation as it continues to unfold and we’ve been working quickly to prepare key information and guidance to help businesses implement some of the new measures being outlined by government.” – says Nicola.

Over the past few weeks Danton HR have been supporting new and existing clients as they navigate this new terrain.

“Businesses are understandably under a lot of pressure at the moment,” continues Nicola, “some already had contingency plans in place, but the majority didn’t and that’s where we have been able to help.”

The team have always prided themselves on working to meet their clients’ needs and the last few weeks have been no exception. From preparing bespoke packs and letters, to providing strategic advice and technical understanding, Danton HR have delivered hands on support, tailored to the specific needs of their clients.

“We’re delivering a lot of guidance around business interruption and continuity. Most companies are facing financial pressures and we’re ensuring that they understand what they need to do whilst continuing to treat their employees with dignity and respect.”

One of the biggest challenges for business owners, is keeping staff motivated after they have been sent home and told there’s no work. But the team have been walking their clients through the options available and the new Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme can support this.

“The government have recently announced a new grant fund which can help employers retain their staff, rather than making redundancies,” explains Jackie.

With a combined experience of forty years working in HR across a wide variety of industries, the team have a sound understanding of the new measures that have been announced, to support businesses during this challenging time.

“We understand the demands placed on different types of business and whatever situation companies are facing, we are able to offer solutions and identify how furlough can be implemented to support them.

If anyone is unsure where they stand as an employer, we invite them to access the resources we’ve made available on our website or to call us. There are no silly questions - this is unchartered territory for everyone and we’re available to offer solutions and relieve some of the pressure that businesses are facing” – concludes Jackie.

Before the coronavirus outbreak, Danton HR were planning on delivering Easter eggs to the individuals and families who are supported by NewStarts, but following the new social distancing measures they will be supporting the charity with a monetary donation.

“NewStarts support local people who are down on their luck. They provide things from household items and food, to individual coaching and job placements. Even in good times there are a lot of families who struggle, and we know that the current situation will mean that even more people will be wondering where their next meal is coming from,” says Jackie.

“We’re asking for everyone we have worked with, to support us in giving back to the local community at this very difficult time.” urges Nicola.
