MP Dr Philip Lee praised the way two Crowthorne-based companies, SIRE Technology and Flight Data People (FDP), have worked together after visiting SIRE's offices on a fact-finding mission last week.

Also attending was Eddie Rogan, sales and marketing director for FDP, who are also based on the Wellington Business Park and are customers of SIRE.

The purpose of Dr Lee's visit was to learn more about SIRE's cloud based data services, and in particular the work they have done with FDP to develop an innovative risk and safety management solution for the aviation industry.

Dr Lee said: "It was great to hear how these two local companies have worked together and combined their unique areas of expertise to develop a cloud based solution that can play a significant role in improving flight safety. I think there are a number of opportunities for this product and I will be interested to see how the technology is incorporated into flight safety procedures.”

Rogan said: "Dr Lee's interest and support in the coming months will be of great help to us as we try to make progress in new markets."

"We already had a strong relationship with FDP," said Russell Cook, managing director of SIRE Technology, "but jointly hosting this visit and talking about future opportunities has further strengthened that bond."
