Coventry-based Swanton Care & Community buys Scotland care home
Swanton Care & Community Ltd has made its eighth acquisition, buying Deanston House Ltd in Doune, Stirlingshire.
Deanston House is part of the Enhanced Community Healthcare/Home Options group and specialises in nursing care and support for adults with learning disabilities who may also have an autism diagnosis or physical disability. Deanston House has been on the Scottish Excel framework since May 2020.
When people move into Deanston House, they’re able to live independently in one of the three suites, which all have their own lounge/diner and kitchenette.
Swanton is backed by Apposite Capital. Investment Director of Apposite, Anne-Laure Meynier, said: "Swanton continues to demonstrate its strong ability to expand both organically and through acquisitions. Swanton has a strong pipeline of further acquisitions and greenfield developments and is focused on delivering on that agenda."
Swanton’s vision for Deanston House is to further build on the strength of the service currently. In the future, the company would like to develop a supported living service within Stirling and Clackmannanshire which will empower people supported there to move into the local community when the time is right.
Swanton’s Regional Director for Scotland, David Brand: “We are delighted to be working with Celia and her team now that Deanston House is part of the Swanton family.
“In the future, we hope to provide the final piece in the jigsaw for people supported by developing a high-quality supported living service.
“By doing so, we’re creating more opportunities for people we support to live as independently as possible in their own homes.”
Swanton is a national provider of care and support with a diverse range of services.
