Cotswolds home startup ANI Skincare wins Gold at Beauty Bible Awards
Cirencester-based ANI Skincare won Gold at this year’s 27th Beauty Bible Awards with its Rose & Geranium Face Oil.
Announcing the award, organisers said: “Gosh, congrats to a tiny startup, handmade-in-the-Cotswolds plant-based brand for getting the very highest (by a micro-point) score in this hotly contested category.
“We love founder Joanna Walker’s philosophy: ‘It’s not about erasing laughter lines – who wants to wipe away all the good times? It’s about getting your skin to optimum condition so that you feel confident in yourself, keeping both skin and self-esteem healthy.’”

Joanna set up the brand in 2012 to build upon the success of her custom-made skincare products, which she gifted to family and friends at Christmas. She took a stall in Cirencester’s charter market and later ran a series of seasonal pop-up shops.
Nowadays, Joanna ships ANI Skincare across Europe, the US, and Australasia. The brand is also stocked at her permanent shop in Stable Yard, Cirencester, as well as at Burford Garden Co. and Marlborough’s Packaging Not Included.
Reacting to the win, Joanna said: “It’s thrilling! It shows that a small company in the Cotswolds can compete against win against global brands. This is a great endorsement for what we do.”
