Cirencester hotel makes major investment
Cirencester's Stratton House Hotel and Spa has invested £300,000 into its kitchen and garden restaurant this year.
The 43-bed, 17th Century Cirencester hotel has already seen all the bedrooms refurbished plus the addition of a £1 million Spa in 2021. All of this since husband-and-wife owners Aidan and Sarah Stevens took over the venue in 2016.
“The new kitchen was a necessity, and this led to further work on the hotel’s restaurant, which is open to both guests and non-residents. We don’t see ourselves as simply a hotel,” owner and director Aidan said. “We want to appeal to Stratton and Cirencester residents as well as those living and working in the wider community including the nearby villages.
“With the newly refurbished kitchen and restaurant we are launching a series of events that we hope will inspire people to come and take a look, if they have never been, or reacquaint themselves with all that we have to offer. We have a wine tasting event coming up in April and a regular Grill Night to start things off as well as a free Easter Egg Hunt in our walled gardens on Easter Sunday. Details of these and upcoming events can be found on our website and social media channels.”
The investment has also created several job opportunities including an additional Chef and a new Food & Beverage Supervisor.
The design and building work were carried out by Wiltshire and Gloucestershire based companies Inndecs, ADS Design and Inngear.
“Our ethos as a business is to support our local community as much as we can and we already work with a number of local suppliers, this has extended to our Wine Tasting event, which will be hosted by Andy Cole of Vinotopia based in Nailsworth.“ Aidan added.
