Dosa Park, the fast-expanding South Indian restaurant concept has opened in Cirencester.

The new restaurant, located on Sheep Street welcomed guests from across the county, including TV’s Dr. Dawn Porter, for a private tasting and look at the venue.

Dosa Park has three sites in Oxfordshire, two in Oxford itself. Seven full time Job roles have been created by the new venue.

Business co-owner, Omer Rahim said: “We are so excited to show the people of Cirencester our dosas.

"At a recent tasting, everyone said they had never tried dosas before and were blown away by them.

"We want to provide our customers with a South Indian experience and make a difference with our hospitality and can-do attitude.

"We have received a huge welcome from the community.

"Lots of people have walked passed and knocked on our door saying that they are glad that Dosa Park is coming to Cirencester.

"Many people have been going all the way to Swindon and Oxford to eat dosas, but now they don't have to travel and can eat it here in Cirencester.

"In the future we would like to expand the business, and have had some interest in opening a restaurant in Worcestershire.

"We have been laser-focused in getting the business' foundation right for the last few years, which should make it easier for us to scale up."

Dosa Park Cirencester is open six days a week (everyday but Tuesday) between 12pm and 10pm, apart from Sunday which closes at 9pm.

PS - for those who don't know, A dosa is crispy and crepe-like and is a very popular street food in India. Dosa is famous for its simple ingredients and savory, slightly bitter flavor. It can be eaten as a snack, breakfast, or anytime you’re in the mood for a delicious, savory meal!
