Cheltenham & Reading cybercos secure Tech Nation support
Tech Nation, which helps ambitions tech start-up businesses to grow faster, has revealed its latest cyber cohort, 20 companies which it feels have strong potential to expand and compete on a global stage, including one from Reading and a second from Cheltenham.
With a vision of making cyber security available to everyone, simplified and easy to use, Cheltenham-based XQ Cyber focuses on protecting customers from cybercrime with their service, CyberScore. The automated cyber security testing and peer rating service converts technical data drawn from computer networks into a clear, concise risk rating and improvement plans.
Reading-based software house Assuria develops its own cyber security software solutions for a range of different uses and sectors; Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), File Integrity Monitoring (FIM), Vulnerability Assessment and Big Data Security Analytics. These solutions are also integrated into Assuria’s Multi-tenant SOC Management Platform, which is provided to partners, enabling them to deliver enterprise-grade Managed Security Services to SME’s at affordable cost.
Tech Nation’s Cyber Programme is designed to help cyber security companies with the challenges they may incur during scaling and expansion. The aim is to give them the tools to handle everything from international expansion to finding the best talent in a sector with a challenging talent gap.
