Pentadel Project Management, based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces (2022) today by Great Place to Work, which recognises workplace culture.

This follows Pentadel's Great Place to Work certification last year - awarded based on survey feedback from Pentadel employees regarding its culture and working environment.  Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Pentadel achieved an average Trust Index score of 96 per cent, with every employee reporting that they were treated as a full team member regardless of their position.

Pentadel, established five years ago, is a fast-growing company of architects, engineers, quantity surveyors and project managers, who design and manage the build of modern, innovative industrial facilities across the UK and globally. Pentadel’s design principles focus on helping clients create buildings that put people and their wellbeing first, reflecting Pentadel's own ethos of looking after and nurturing its employees.

The success of the business, which has continued to thrive during the pandemic, stems from a clear determination from the outset to nurture and maintain a positive culture, where appetite for personal growth is met with provision of opportunity. Being named as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces is testament to this vision.

“This is an accolade that every single member of the Pentadel team should feel incredibly proud of.  Every member of #teampurple cultivates and protects our culture," said Amy Kemp, co-founder and director, Pentadel Project Management. "We look long and hard for great people to join us - and finding them attracts more great people, as they thrive among good company. The only way to retain that talent is the trio of continual learning, opportunity and nurture."

“We are honoured to work with fantastic clients, who trust us with complex work that challenges and inspires us every day. Delivering great work for them is what will enable us to continue learning and growing for the long term.”

To celebrate Pentadel’s achievement, there will be a team takeover of Pentadel’s social media (LinkedIn and Instagram) in May, with team members sharing their own personal experiences of working at Pentadel  as well as life in Cheltenham.  In 2020 Pentadel moved into a bright, open plan office in the Promenade in the centre of Cheltenham, providing a great space for its employees to collaborate.

Team Member Quotes:

Jason Evetts, Architectural Technician, said, “Pentadel offers a stimulating, supportive, and culturally diverse place to work where you can make an impact on exciting, innovative projects from day one. Our open plan office encourages collaboration so you can easily develop new skills and further expand your career and knowledge base. It is also great being based in the centre of Cheltenham as this enables an easy commute and a good work/home balance.”

Ewa Milobog, Architectural Technician, added, “Pentadel is a great place to forge your career with such diverse projects to work on. No two days are ever the same. Also, as a foreign national, I always feel welcome and respected at Pentadel - this is a really supportive and friendly environment. What I also like is they pay for my membership of CIAT (Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists) so I can continuously learn and develop professionally. An added bonus is that Cheltenham is also a great and affordable place to live with beautiful countryside on its doorstep.”

Luis Martins, Project Manager, added, "Working at Pentadel feels very special and it is, indeed, a Great Place to work! I feel extremely proud and happy, especially as I have been with the company since the beginning, which brings me a great sense of ownership and belonging.  Throughout these years with Pentadel I have worked with many talented individuals and witnessed nothing but progress and success.  The work is both challenging and dynamic, and there is no such thing as a boring day!

There is an immense degree of trust put into the employees who are encouraged to take ownership over their work and to use their individual capabilities as well as to collaborate and learn from each other.

The level of dedication and thoughtfulness of the employees at Pentadel is second to none, with special mention to the extra-curricular activities which are always meticulously crafted and incredibly fun!"
