British Manufacturing Showcase to promote Midlands manufacturing internationally
A showcase event on the eve of Birmingham’s Commonwealth Games will shine a light on manufacturing in the Midlands.
The British Manufacturing Showcase, organised by and hosted at the Midlands office of national audit, tax, advisory and risk firm Crowe, will take place on 27 July from 8am until midday. It has been jointly supported by the Greater Birmingham and Black Country Chambers of Commerce.
With applications being considered on a first come, first serve basis, interested companies are being encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
Johnathan Dudley, National Head of Manufacturing and Crowe’s Midlands Managing Partner, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity at a time when the eyes of the world are on Birmingham and the Midlands to showcase the best of British manufacturing to a global audience.
“The British Manufacturing Showcase, in conjunction with the Birmingham Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce, will be of huge interest to UK businesses looking to engage with existing exporters to share best practice on exporting and obtain guidance and support both from those businesses and government agencies too.”

The event has also been endorsed by the Department of International Trade and UK Export Finance, who will be sending representatives to discuss ways the government can help manufacturers push into the global marketplace.
It will look to take advantage of the crowds heading to the region from both the UK and wider Commonwealth for the Commonwealth Games, which are being held in the city of Birmingham and surrounding areas between 28 July and 8 August 2022.
Applications, either to take part or attend, can be made via the British Manufacturing Showcase event form, via email to [email protected] or via phone 0121 543 1900.
