Amy Yoder, CEO of QC Supply and non-executive director at Moa Technology

Moa Technology, an Oxford-based biotech developing novel herbicides, has appointed Amy Yoder to its board as a non-executive director.

Amy is currently CEO of QC Supply, a large North American agricultural distributor focused on supporting farmers with biosecurity and disease prevention.

Previously, as founder and CEO of Anuvia Plant Nutrients, Amy championed advanced sustainable agricultural practices which help improve profitability and efficiency for farmers while also protecting soil and the land.

She’s also held key roles at the likes of Arysta LifeScience, Monsanto and Spectrum Brands.

Amy joins Moa – which spun out from the University of Oxford in 2017 – as it begins international field trials in the US, UK and Europe of multiple promising novel herbicide candidates developed by its proprietary discovery platform.

“Moa is so exciting because it has unique technology developing impactful solutions for farmers struggling with the challenge of weed resistance, while also supporting sustainability and environmental stewardship”, said Amy.

“I’m looking forward to joining Hartmut, Virginia and the team for the next stage of Moa’s growth.”

Hartmut van Lengerich, chair of the board, added: “On behalf of everyone at Moa, I’m delighted to welcome Amy at this pivotal time for the business.

“Her in-depth knowledge of the perspectives and needs of US and Canadian farmers, and her true passion for innovation and sustainable approaches to farming will benefit the board and everyone at Moa.”
