BDB Pitmans, a UK law firm with offices in Reading and Southampton, has advised professional and financials services firm Frenkel Topping Group Plc (FTG) on two acquisitions.

Lawyers from BDB Pitmans advised FTG on the acquisitions of Chesham-based legal services firm Somek & Associates and the Wirral-based N-Able Services Ltd. The acquisitions are expected to strengthen FTG’s existing business and expand its Case and Care Management offering in regional areas.

Richard Fraser, Chief Executive Officer of Frenkel Topping, said: “These acquisitions mark the next phase of FTG’s growth strategy, helping to strengthen our position in the Care and Case Management space while boosting our offering for claimants by allowing us to support them at additional steps of the journey. Our thanks to BDB Pitmans who supported us at every step.”

Founded in 2002, professional service firm N-Able offers Case Management and Care expert reports focusing on specialist, bespoke rehabilitation and lifestyle programmes. N-Able works directly with many of the UK’s leading law and insurance firms to support claimants through the litigation process and beyond.

Somek, operating since 1997, is a corporate partner of the Expert Witness Institute and one of the largest providers of expert witnesses in the country, managing instructions from both claimants and defendants.

On the corporate side, FTG were advised by Nick McCarthy, Andrew McGlashan, Mireille Turner and Chris Roberts.

Corporate partner Nick McCarthy said: “It was a pleasure to work with FTG and we have no doubt that the acquisitions will boost the organisation’s offering by allowing them to reach a new market in a field where geographical location is highly relevant. We wish them every success.”
