Azets Gloucester announces seven promotions
Azets, the UK’s largest regional accountancy firm and business advisor to SMEs, has made multiple promotions. This follows the announcement of a national recruitment drive that will see Azets adding 900 roles across the UK business over the next 12 months.
Steve Burke and Richard Watkins have been promoted to Associate Director in the audit team, whilst Eleanor Sunderland takes on the role of Senior Manager. Toby Marshall and Amy Daniel have been promoted to Assistant Manager, also within the audit team. John Dix and Sonja Walding have been promoted to Senior in the accounts and business advisory team.
As well as these promotions, Becky Hudson, Director of Audit has been awarded Responsible Individual status, an industry qualification given out by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), that recognises an individual who is responsible for audit work.
Claire Clift, Partner at Azets Gloucester, said: “As we look to grow our offices and staff numbers, we also appreciate that there is huge value in promoting within. It goes without saying that each one of these promotions are incredibly well deserved. Becky’s achievement on becoming a Responsible Individual also shows our commitment to supporting our team, as we continue to grow.
We are actively recruiting at all levels, with our investment in hybrid working creating more opportunities for existing staff and removing traditional barriers around location and flexibility.”
The business-wide recruitment drive covers roles across all levels, from associate through to partner, and service lines including audit and assurance, accounting and advisory business services, corporate finance, tax, and restructuring. The firm expects to hire up to 400 graduates and school leavers to join in September 2023. This recruitment drive marks the latest milestone on Azets’ ambitious journey to increase revenue by 50% in the next five years through organic and acquisitive growth.
Azets, which recently ranked 38th in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers 2022, is also providing opportunities to T Level students, the new intense technical vocational qualifications introduced by the government in 2020.
