Supermarket chain, Aldi has confirmed new stores for Bicester, Guildford, Milton Keynes, Basildon, Brentwood and Hitchin, as it substantially increases its property portfolio.
The UK's fifth largest supermarket chain also announced the addition of ten outlets to its existing two in Oxfordshire. A number of new distribution centres also form part of the expansion plans.
The supermarket company confirmed their intention to open branches in Abingdon, Banbury, Bicester, Didcot, Kidlington, Oxford, Thame, Wallingford, Wantage and Witney.
These are the realisation of Aldi’s £1.3billion UK expansion plans. The brand announced it will open 100 new stores across the country in the next two years.
Construction has already begun on some of the new Oxfordshire stores such as their site in Abingdon,
Aldi, which now has more than 920 stores across the UK, is searching for further freehold town-centre or edge-of-centre sites suitable for property development.
