Abingdon cybersecurity trainers Psybersafe expand as the need for their service grows
An Oxfordshire-based cybersecurity training company has added three new clients to its books as it continues to experience rapid growth.
Psybersafe is an online platform for cyber security training that offers bite-sized, manageable cyber security training. All underpinned by recognised behavioural science. The product helps enterprises and organisations defend against cyberattacks.
The Abingdon business' new clients are Alter X (a property investment company), Albion Capital (an investment firm) and Kynec (a data management company). The new companies join the approximately 18,000 other Psybersafe subscribers who routinely use the online training in the UK and around Europe.
Mark Brown is the founder of Psybersafe. He had this to say about their continued expansion: “It is great to welcome more companies onto our training platform where we can help arm them with the knowledge they need to help prevent hackers gaining entry into their businesses."
"We know that cyber attacks are becoming more and more prevalent and the statistics bear this out. According to the Government’s most recent Cyber Security Breaches Survey, 83% of UK businesses who identified an attack, were targeted via a phishing attempt. Around one in five (21%) identified a more sophisticated attack type such as a denial of service, malware, or ransomware attack. Training your employees is a key part of the solution."
“Our aim is to help companies train their staff properly about the cyber security threat - this means helping them break the many bad habits we all have ingrained in us and helping them to develop new habits and behaviours. The online training programmes we provide are based on proven behavioural science techniques and provide a sustained, consistent path to the development of knowledge, attitudes and behaviours around cyber security.”
CEO and founder at Kynec, Robert McWilliam, said this of the link-up: “I’m delighted for Kynec to join the Psybersafe programme as evidence of our commitment to the highest IT security standards. Being cyber safe is a top priority for the business as we deal with a lot of financial data that must be kept secure. Alongside our other cyber security measures, Psybersafe’s training will certainly help us to do that.”
