Oxfordshire distillery Sky Wave Gin is set to open up its first bar at Bicester Heritage on Buckingham Road in the town.

From 31st March, the bar will serve cocktails, beer, and sparkling wine on Friday and Saturday evenings between 6pm and 11pm. This includes the distillery’s range of seven premium gins.

The venue has capacity for 20 people, with outdoor seating planned as the months get warmer.

Owner and Co-founder of Sky Wave Gin Rachel Hicks said: “We anticipate that our boutique bar will be become a favourite destination for after work drinks, date night rendezvous, friends gatherings and girls nights out.

“It’s a beautiful intimate venue and we all need a bit of glamour in our lives.”

This comes as the latest development for the Sky Wave business, which offers weekly Distillery Experiences, Gin Tastings, and private events such as Cocktail Masterclasses. The company is now looking to grow following a successful crowdfunding campaign to raise investment.

Master Distiller and fellow Co-founder Andrew Parsons added: “Sky Wave Gin has won a stellar 40 international medals in 4 years and is the Home of the World’s Best Contemporary Gin, 2020.

“We want to share our luxury spirits far and wide. The new Gin and Cocktail Bar is another way for people to experience our exceptional creations.”
