Crowthorne-based SIRE Technology has partnered with Wokingham-based Filestream to provide the cloud-hosting element of the company's electronic document management (EDM) system.

In return SIRE will encourage any of its own customers who may require comprehensive EDM solutions to consider Filestream's proven services.

Filestream is using SIRE's cloud services to help develop new functionality.

Russell Cook, managing director at SIRE, said: "Both our companies share a common ethos where the quality of customer service is paramount.  It is clear that there is a great deal of synergy between the organisations and this partnership will increase the opportunities for both companies by formalising our existing working relationship."

"It is no good investing in the latest scanning techniques for all your company's paperwork if the resulting data is not then readily available when you need it," said Paul Day, technical director at Filestream.  "By working with SIRE, our customers can be confident that their data is stored securely, can be speedily retrieved, and is easily managed.

"Our own experience of working with SIRE gives us the confidence to recommend them as part of the solution we offer to our own customers.

"With vital data stored on one of Filestream's EDM systems, hosted on a cloud solution, rapid access is guaranteed. This ensures a business' continuity should the unthinkable happen, and offers day-to-day improvements in terms of efficiency, security and regular backups.”
