Winnersh: New sales and marketing director joins Timico
Winnersh-based managed cloud service provider Timico has appointed highly-experienced sales leader and expert marketer, Ben Savage, as the business continues its exciting period of transformation.
Savage is the fourth new appointment in the past 12 months as Timico continues to expand its managed IT and cloud services portfolio and accelerate growth, under a strengthened senior management team. The MCSP now boasts revenues of more than £50 million and last year received a £50m investment from leading private equity firm, Lyceum Capital.
Savage brings more than 20 years in sales and marketing – particularly in managed cloud and hosted services – on a pan-European level and across multiple industry sectors including retail, telecoms, pharmaceuticals and health, utilities, finance, banking and professional services. Prior to joining Timico, he was head of EMEA GTM channels and service providers at Pure Storage and before that, VP of sales, cloud and managed services at Colt Technology Services.
As a member of the executive board at Timico and an experienced change agent, Savage will contribute to the development and delivery of the broader business agenda. Reporting to CEO, Ben Marnham, Savage will be responsible for delivering the company-wide sales and marketing strategy, for the financial success of the sales plan, and for leading and inspiring a high performing sales team as Timico continues on its quest to become a leading managed cloud service provider offering industry-leading client experience.
Commenting on his appointment, Savage said: “Joining Timico at such a pivotal time of change and development is very exciting. It’s a great opportunity to really harness my skills in supporting our core customers and in growing new business, and in implementing fresh, collaborative marketing strategies that will really help put Timico on the map as a market-leading managed cloud service provider. The sales and marketing team are already achieving exceptional success, and I look forward to being part of this achievement and building further on these results.”
