Three features of the International Tech Company of the Year

Nominations for the Thames Valley Tech & Innovation Awards are officially open, and we’re ready to receive submissions from all the top organisations in the region. 

This year’s event will feature the presentation of 13 unique awards from the Tech Leader of the Year and Diversity in Tech Impact Award to the Cyber Security Company of the Year and the highly sought-after Thames Valley Tech Company of the Year. 

One favourite category that is a well-known staple of any of our tech awards is the International Tech Company of the Year. Sponsored by Boyes Turner, this award will be presented to the nominee who is doing the most impressive work for the region’s international trade - a key performance indicator for the UK economy. 

But with so many huge companies working tirelessly to maintain the Thames Valley’s thriving technological ecosystem, what will the International Tech Company of the Year look like? Here are three features that our independent judges will be looking for: 

Effective Collaboration 

Being crowned the International Tech Company of the Year is all about your effective overseas communications and your ability to provide a global service without compromising on quality. We’re looking for a company who collaborates successfully with an extensive network of clients and partners from all corners of the globe. 

Clear Growth 

A noteworthy international company isn’t just built overnight, it’s a product of countless hours of relentless hard work and the implementation of efficient strategies to grow an enterprise whose work transcends borders. Being able to show evidence of your company’s growth and demonstrate how you’ve maintained your upwards trajectory will be key to taking home the trophy. 

Beneficial to the Community 

Though the main focus of your nomination will be on the international activities of your business, it’s important to consider how your work is impacting the surrounding area where you’re based. Larger companies are vital for the Thames Valley’s image and economy, being able to show that you are responsible for positive change within the region will be instrumental to sticking in the forefront of our judges’ minds.
