One of the by-products of the current curious situation has been the way developing trends have been accelerated – none more so than in the move to cloud and digital technology, writes In Cloud Solutions.

Back in March, companies discovered in the course of a day what it took to make a successful move to remote working. Those with cloud services were able to transition from office to home with relatively little fuss. For everyone else there was the fear that they’d left it too late. The phrase 'digital transformation' went from buzz word to existential necessity in 24 hours.

Most people are now aware that they MUST get cloud-based digital technology if they are to survive in a world where you regularly have to work from home or on the go.

As a result, at In Cloud Solutions, we are turning our attention towards our InCloud Express Financials solution which can be brought online very quickly and more importantly remotely. It means teams can work together, process paperwork, close the books etc without having to be in the office.

But how do you get started with technology like this when meeting face to face is still so fraught with issues? It’s surprisingly easy.

We are working on two implementations at the moment, entirely remotely, which is pretty much re-writing the rules on what can be achieved. Key decision makers and project team members can confer remotely with our solution experts to scope, configure and implement software without having to be in the same room.

Thinking differently has brought refreshing results as decades worth of conventional business practice are upended by necessity.

So, if you are uncertain about what the future holds but you know you want to get digital – it is not too late.
