The Business Magazine's new awards scheme for 2018 – the Thames Valley Tech Awards – has gained high-profile sponsorship from many leading names.

Sage, the enterprise software company, is the latest headline sponsor, lining up alongside Westcoast to put its brand on the awards, which culminate in a gala night at the Madejski Stadium, Reading, on May 24.

The eighth major awards scheme run annually by Elcot Media & Events, the Tech Awards will attract an audience of some 350 tech companies, entrepreneurs and professionals. Table bookings are going fast.

Westcoast, the largest private tech company headquartered in the region, is a headline sponsor, while individual awards are sponsored by Barclays, Moore Stephens, Blake Morgan, Grant Thornton, Centerprise, Boyes Turner, Austin Fraser, ConnectTVT, and Penningtons Manches. Support also comes from techUK, the collective voice for the tech industry in the UK, and Howbery Business Park.

David Murray, publisher of The Business Magazine, said: “We are absolutely thrilled with the response to our very first Tech Awards. This region is synonymous with tech – and that includes companies involved in space research; in biotech and life sciences; in autonomous vehicles and robotics. We want to see nominations from all these sub-groups, so that the awards truly reflect the diversity of tech in the Thames Valley.”
