Tech companies from across the M4 corridor have a week to enter the prestigious Thames Valley Tech Awards. Premier business events organiser The Business Magazine has announced that the nomination deadline for the Thames Valley Tech Awards has been extended until June 7, after a surge of last-minute entries and unprecedented interest in the awards.

Often referred to as the UK’s biggest tech hub outside of London, the Thames Valley has seen technology become a significant part of its economy for more than 20 years and is home to tech companies such as Microsoft, Oracle, Huawei and Cisco, and many startups. With the extended nomination deadline, there’s even more time to submit an entry to any one of the 12 prestigious award categories including: Tech Start-Up, Emerging Tech Company, High Growth Tech Business, Tech Employer of the Year and Innovative Tech Company.

“We decided to extend the Thames Valley Tech Awards nomination deadline as a result of immense interest towards the awards. Our ultimate goal is to showcase the best in technology across the Thames Valley region and we didn’t want to risk missing out on celebrating the best in the region because of a shorter entry deadline” commented David Murray, founder and managing director at Elcot Media & Events, publisher of The Business Magazine.

This year’s Thames Valley Tech Awards follows the success of its first year in 2018, that saw local businesses including Southern Communications, Ultima Business Solutions and Open Cosmos scoop awards.
