Brighton-based business technology firm Focus Group has bought communications provider Entropie, marking its eighth acquisition of the year.
Entropie’s base in Milton Keynes will help expand the group’s presence in the central regions. It also sits close to the offices of Boxx Communications, which joined Focus Group in October.
Hetan Mistry, managing director of Entropie, said: “After 24 years of building Entropie into a respected leader in our industry, we’re thrilled to embark on the next chapter of our journey.
“We’re confident that joining Focus Group represents the best path forward for our future.
“Their track record of success assures us that they’re the ideal partner to help us continue our legacy of excellence.”
Just last week, the group acquired Sussex-based Cellular Solutions – fuelled by a recent investment from private equity firm Hg.
Tom Jones, who heads up mergers and acquisitions, added: “It’s been an incredibly busy year for Focus Group and we’re delighted to be sharing more positive news.
“Entropie is a business that has all the characteristics we look for when we’re on the acquisition trail – reputation, solid performance, similar product set with high-recurring revenues and a customer-centric approach – so we’re delighted to welcome the team on board.”
