Softcat welcomed a record-breaking 48 new staff to its ranks today – the most new recruits to kick off their careers with Softcat in a single day in the company’s history. The new employees are joining at the start of Softcat’s new financial year, which has already seen it announce plans for expansion with a brand new Leeds office that is scheduled to open during February 2015.

The latest recruits will work in a number of roles including sales, technical, sales support and administration and, following a three-week induction programme at the company headquarters, will continue their training at the Marlow, Bristol, London or Manchester offices where their jobs will be based. While the majority of September starters are this year’s graduates, during August Softcat also welcomed school and college leavers on to its apprenticeship scheme.

“I’m delighted to see so many people join the Softcat team today,” commented Colin Brown, Softcat’s managing director. “Our ability to recruit enthusiastic and talented people while maintaining our core values is so important – it’s the way we’ve grown the business and will continue to grow it. I wish all of our new starters every success in their new careers.”

The new recruits can look forward to working for what the Great Place to Work organisation ranked as the UK’s second-best large workplace. Softcat rewards its top performers with outstanding career opportunities, uncapped commission payments, incentive trips abroad and many other incentives.

During its last financial year the company recruited 236 people; Softcat’s growth plans will see it recruit even more new staff this financial year. Those interested in finding out more about a career with Softcat should visit http://www.softcat.com/join-us or email careers@softcat.com.
