South Coast: MediaBase Direct’s new app replaces sign-in books
The digital agency MediaBase Direct has launched a new app called CARE by LEADR. Installed on an iPad kept in the reception area it is intended to replace old-style visitor books in care homes.
The app is already being taken up by a string of care homes across the south, including Willow Lodge at Emsworth, the residential home on the shores of Chichester Harbour, specialising in dementia care.
Technicians at MediaBase Direct, based in Segensworth, have developed the new app which enables visitors, staff and contractors to sign in electronically.
Laurence Bohmer, the business development consultant at MediaBase Direct, said: “Privacy matters to us, so the CARE app prevents any patient lists being shown. The system is intelligent and remembers visitor details which makes repeat visits simple both for checking in and out. It also helps reduce the administration burden on care home managers and owners.”
