Solent 250: Onecom up for two industry awards

Business communications specialist Onecom, at number 65 in our Solent 250, has been shortlisted for two major industry accolades in recognition of outstanding customer service and commitment to employee wellbeing.

The company, which has headquarters at Whiteley and offices around the UK, in Wales and in Northern Ireland, has been shortlisted for Customer Service Team of The Year in the 2017 Comms Business Awards.

Onecom’s entry focused on the company’s commitment to providing a consistently good experience to all customers of all its products and the highest standards of staff training.

The Comms Business Awards are considered the most prestigious and sought after accolades in the communications, IT and mobile industries.

In a further honour, Onecom has also been shortlisted for a major award in Northern Ireland, where it is a finalist for The Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards in the category of ‘Workplace Wellbeing’.

Onecom’s entry centred on its strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of its employees, including robust Mental Health and Stress policies, cycle-to-work schemes and subsidised gym memberships for staff.

The two latest awards shortlistings come on the back of a string of successful nominations for industry awards. Onecom is currently shortlisted for the title of Best Unified Comms Dealer in the Mobile Industry Awards is also a finalist in the Solent Deals Awards for its multi-million-pound acquisition in 2016 of Evolve Telecom.
