Intact Integrated Services, the leading Cisco Service Extension Partner, has announced a major recruitment drive to support its 2009 expansion programme following the company's recent transition to become an independent company operating under the Datatec banner.

"In our last financial year ending February 2009, Intact achieved double-digit growth thanks to our clear focus on the provision of lifecycle services to Cisco partners, systems integrators, telcos and service providers, as well as strong growth from our expanding international support operation," commented Bob Dalton, Intact Integrated Services' managing director. "This has given us an excellent platform to develop our newly-independent business, and the confidence to invest in our workforce despite the difficult trading conditions across the rest of the industry.

"Today's business environment places even greater importance on service differentiation, and there's a real pressure for the Cisco partners we work with to make the journey further along the value chain. At Intact we've seen strong demand for the specialist delivery we can provide in key Cisco Advanced Technology areas - particularly through innovations such as Unified Communications and Security - and that's why it's so important for us to maintain our commitment to recruiting and training the highest quality staff," he continued. "We believe there's still a strong channel opportunity for partners and integrators that can manage project complexity and help customers de-risk their Advanced Technology implementations, particularly when the ROI translates into operational savings."

To support its 2009 growth programme, Intact will be recruiting new pre-sales consultants, graduate engineers through Cisco's Academy programme, as well as project management, partner management and service delivery management staff. Intact will also be hiring additional personnel in sales support and its finance department to strengthen its own internal processes. These appointments will build on the success of the company's ongoing recruitment activities, which over the last six months has seen Intact recruit a specialist Unified Communications consultant, two project managers, an operations co-ordinator, a sales support professional and two additional account managers.

According to Bob Dalton: "Our continued investment in specialist technical, process and support staff means that our partners don't need to invest in expensive internal resources in order to get their Advanced Technology projects up and running. We know that continued demand for Cisco's Data Centre, security and UC/IPT solutions means that specialist expertise is often hard to find. Working with Intact and our professional team means that resellers won't need to stretch their resources at a time when they need to retain focus on their complex projects."
